1. Filtration Settings #
Clear Comfort should be ON during the filtration cycle (the Clear Comfort system’s Green Status Light should be ON).
- Preferred filtration time: 24 hours/day (standard for most spas with dedicated circulation pumps)
- Minimum recommended filtration time: 12 hours/day
NOTE: Most factory preset times are set to 2 hours twice a day, consult owners manual to change to 6 hours twice a day.
2. Water Care #
- Important: Start with clean, fresh spa water. Spa spurge products are recommended. Upon filling with new water, always shock with chlorine to sanitize the tub.
- Clear Comfort’s powerful oxidation process can reduce residual levels & the need for shock treatments.
- Regularly maintain the following water chemical levels at:
- pH: 7.2 – 7.6
- Alkalinity: 80 – 120 ppm
- Calcium Hardness: 50 – 250 ppm
- Chlorine: 0.5 – 3 ppm
- You may shock your spa after high use periods, if needed.
3. Filtration Maintenance #
- Maintain and clean filters per your spa manufacturer’s recommendations.
- For high use spas cleaning may need to be done at more frequent intervals.
NOTE: A dirty filter can have a negative effect on water quality & reduce air flow through the Clear Comfort system.
