Last night, Clear Comfort was announced as one of three finalists for the Colorado Technology Association Startup of the Year APEX Award. Here is an excerpt from the Denver Business Journal on Clear Comfort's nomination:
When a colleague at Colorado Cleantech mentioned the possibility of adapting industrial water treatment technology to the swimming pool market, Steve Berens was intrigued.
The thought of making pool water healthier and better for the environment by eliminating the chlorine disinfecting process was so intriguing, in fact, that pretty soon Berens and his cofounders, Nick Rancis and Robert FenwickSmith, were launching an investment round to fund the startup they would eventually name Clear Comfort.
