Frequently asked questions

How does Clear Comfort AOP compare to ozone pool systems?

Ozone (O3) pool systems primarily rely on O3 to oxidize and disinfect water. O3 is hazardous, corrosive and requires degassing to protect swimmer safety, equipment and pool surfaces. Alternatively, Clear Comfort’s AOP relies on fast-acting hydroxyl radicals to oxidize and sanitize water, which are much more potent oxidizers than O3 and do not require degassing.

Compared to the Clear Comfort’s AOP, ozone pool systems are more difficult to install and maintain. Unlike ozone, Clear Comfort’s AOP is proven to scale from residential spas up to large water parks across the country.
